About
Our goal is to provide clean, nutritious products that promote/ benefit an active, high performance, lifestyle.
Bottom line, we love these products and we offer them to our community. Everything we post, we personally use and believe in.
Caveman Coffee is not only a
Single Origin/Single Estate Coffee, it is a Single Family Coffee. Our beans are
grown, washed, dried and roast by one family. That's right, a father and son
team run the growing and drying in Colombia and the other two sons handle the,
small batch, roasts for us.
To make sure we are on par with the highest quality beans on the market, we had our beans tested by a USA approved Food Lab. The results were a clean slate! We also learned that our White Diamond beans retain higher levels of Cholorgenic Acid. More on this later but feel free to research some "Green Bean" properties and how this could help you.
To prove taste quality, we submitted our roasts to a cupping session with some of the most respected coffee experts in the country. They awarded us with positive feedback and
flavor descriptions such as:
"...the fresh grass and lemon aromas, bright acidity,
and consistent flavor...the spicy, orange citrus notes and felt the body was
juicy and coating..."
We are also proud to announce our roaster is a member of the Specialty Coffeeo Association. Less than 10% of the worlds coffee can be considered a specialty coffee.
Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) – “Because great coffee doesn’t just happen.” Less than 10% of the coffee in the word is specialty grade coffee. Our roaster is a proud member of the SCAA. .
Rainforest Alliance Certification (RAC) – Social responsibility. “Keeping forests standing. Curbing climate change. Protecting wildlife. Alleviating poverty. Transforming business practices.”
UTZ Certification – Specializing in sustainability for the coffee, cocoa and tea industries. “UTZ Certified stands for sustainable farming and better opportunities for farmers, their families and our planet. The UTZ program enables farmers to learn better farming methods, improve working conditions and take better care of their children and the environment.”
Robb has advised us to take part in the Farm to Consumer Legal Defense Fund. (http://www.farmtoconsumer.org/) This is a great cause and the best way to support small farms and clean food.
We will be developing a profit share to consistently donate funding to this great collaborative. We encourage you to support them too!
